    Numerous times while saving and building I have gotten messages stating that a newer file is on the server and welkin suite requires that I pull the latest, when I do so I find comments where punctuation has been replaced with the following characters:


    �




    For instance I have a lightning component that I am working on and I am in the controller.js file, one of my comments say:


    // This callback doesn�t reference cmp.

      Hi Luke,

      Thank you for your bug report.



      The issue you are faced with is related to encoding of your code. Some punctuation symbols in the updated from Salesforce file are not recognized in the IDE.

      I kindly ask you to change the encoding for the current file. You can find the option for this in the Main Menu -> File -> Advanced Save Options when the file is opened in the code editor.

        Hi Kate,

        Thank you for your reply.

        What encoding should I switch to? There are a lot to pick from, I am currently using Western European (Windows) - Codepage 1252. Should I switch to Unicode (UTF-8 with signature) - Codepage 65001 or US-ASCII - Codepage 20127 or... ?

          Thank you for your additional question. The correct encoding type is Unicode (UTF-8 without signature) - Codepage 65001.
