    Hey everyone,

As most of the WS people I'm currently going through the release notes and I'm playing around with all the new toys you gave us.

But I have some problems with the create from sources. So here is what I did. I created a normal WS Project linked to a sandbox (a sandbox that no one uses).

I then created a new WS Project with "create from sources". I selected the src folder from my other project and linked it to the same org. I used the option to copy the sources to my project folder.

I then connected this project to the same org as the first project was also connected to.

After the comparison WS found a lot of items with the status "local". But all of these were (of course) available on the org. Also the screen "Connect project to an organization" looks different than the one in the blogpost. I don't have options like merge or something. It is just a list with three columns "Status, Items name and Type".

When I click finish and immediately select "pull changes from salesforce" WS tries to locally delete all items beforehand flagged as local.

If you need more logs or I should show this via screenshare, you can mail me all the time.

    Best,

    Markus

      Hi Markus,

Thank you for your post and for such detailed description for the issue and please sorry for the delay in my response.

Recently we have released a hot-fix version for The Welkin Suite Bloom, and we have worked on the part of the functionality that you had described.

I kindly ask you to update the IDE to this latest version - you can use the 'Check for updates' command from the Help menu for this. The latest release has the 1.20.7.4 version.

After this, please check if the issue would be reproduced, and if yes - please send us a bug report with attached log files directly from the IDE. You can find this functionality in the menu Help -> Report a Bug, please specify your email and enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox.

Also, in the case if the issue would be reproduced after updating the IDE, please share a screenshot with us - you can attach it here on the Forum.

Looking forward to your response and hope that this would help. Anyway, we would do our best to solve the issue.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Hey Kate,

The problem has been solved with the recent release. Just one small thing I don't like about "create from sources". I need to define a project name BEFORE I choose if I want to create in the sources folder.

We use this functionality mostly with GIT and therefore always create the project files close to the sources. So the projectname that I have choosen (especially the local folder) are always more or less empty.

Would be better to not choose a projectname if I select "close to sources".

But that has nothing to do with this bug :)

        So can be closed.

        Best,

        Markus

          Hi Markus,

          Thank you for your update!

I'm happy to hear that the hotfix version of the IDE could help to solve the issue that you were faced with.

We will take into account your suggestion regarding the stage of specifying a name for your future project and we will consider what we can do about this.

Also, I'll close the current topic as Fixed since we have solved this issue.

If you would have any other questions, please let us know. We'll be happy to assist.

          Regards,

          Kate
