With Bloom R19, Find In Files no longer works.. The button, the menu, the keyboard shortcut - they all seem to ignore me.

Hi guys,
Thank you for contacting us on this.
I kindly ask you to restart the IDE and after this please check if the Find in files command would work properly.
This is the known issue to us when after updating the IDE this command doesn't work properly - in fact, the 'Find in files' window appear however this is hidden, and during the next launch of TWS it appears visible.
@Corey, can you please let me know if the issue is reproduced on the Bloom R19 version of the IDE?
Please let me know if the restart of the IDE help.
Thank you,
Kate

I thought I posted that a restart of TWS cleared the problem for me but now don't see it. I must need more coffee.
For context, the problem happened only on the first run of TWS after the update to R19, which included a migration of the last project I had open.

Coffee is always a good idea :)
This issue is not related to the Bloom R19 version of TWS - this could happen after any update when launching the IDE the first time.
This is known issue from Visual Studio Isolated Shell 2013 and since The Welkin Suite for Windows is based on it, this requires additional investigations to solve it in TWS.
Have a nice day and don't miss our webinar that will start in several minutes - we will show all the changes and new abilities of The Welkin SUite.
Kindest Regards,
Kate

Kate it happened after a restart. I had another bug I submitted yesterday too. I think that my problem(s) were fixed after I deleted and recreated my entire project.

Hi Corey,
Thank you for this update!
A reason for the issue could be that some files were not parsed properly. We will keep our eye on this.
If the issue would be reproduced, please let us know.
Thank you,
Kate

FYI, I've seen this a couple more times where the Find in Files dialog does not appear. I have not figured out what I'm doing to cause it, though.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your update.
We will keep our eye on this and will look for a solution.
May I please clarify with you if the restart of the IDE works as a workaround to get the search functionality back?
Thank you,
Kate

I'm not positive but I think it may have cleared up without a restart last time. I will watch for it again and take note of what happens.

I just resubmitted this as a bug. I provided 18 steps to reproduce. It happened after the update so I hope they can fix it. After a restart of TWS it works.

Hi Corey,
Thank you for your post and for your bug report.
This issue is reproduced when you launch the IDE the first time after updating.
We will try to find a solution, however, since a reason for this is related to Visual Studio Isolated Shell 2013, this requires additional time and resources to solve this issue inside the IDE.
Please restart the IDE to avoid this.
Regards,
Kate

Perhaps I am special, This issue is not going from my welkin even I restarted machine as well.
I did the following steps -
It suddenly started, even I didn't start Welkin. I just did a full refresh of the project.
- Control +F
- Control + Shift F
- Menu->Edit->Find & Replace-> click on Find and other option as well.
Restarted Welkin and repeated all above three step
Restarted machine -> clear temp files -> Clear App Data -> repeat step 1-3.
Thanks

Finally, it resolved. Its not a welkin issue but dock station issue. Popup was opening but it docks station unable to pop-up in another screen.
Sorry Welkin, if you did any workaround for this issue.
Thanks

I dont believe thats the overall issue though... I know I checked over on my laptop and no additional window was over there.
