    Hi there,

I just tried to use the Admin Panel for the first time and on attempting to open one of the SObject tree nodes in the panel on the left hand side the IDE crashed. I attempted the same thing another 4 times clicking on different SObjects and each time the same thing happened.

Looking at the Event Viewer it looks like a crash occurred within the .NET Runtime (with Event ID 1026), here are the details of the error as specified in the Event Viewer:

    Application: TheWelkinSuite.exe
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: System.Reflection.TargetParameterCountException

    at MS.Win32.HwndSubclass.SubclassWndProc(IntPtr, Int32, IntPtr, IntPtr)

Following this the Event Viewer has an application error from TheWelkinSuite.exe (with Event ID 1000) with the follwoing details output:

      Hi Donnie,

      Thank you for your post.

I kindly ask you to send us a bug report directly from the IDE: you can find this option in the menu Help -> Report a Bug, please enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox and put your email. This way we will receive your TWS logs and they could help us to understand the exact reason for TWS crash that you were faced with.

Also, may I please ask you to check if the issue is reproduced when you repeat the same action in the Schema Explorer? You can open it from the mane View -> Show Schema Explorer.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Hi Kate,

I tried the Report a Bug steps you metioned but got an error on sending (looking at logs there seems to be an issue with the request to the https://updater.welkinsuite.com/userservice.svc webservice resulting in an "EndpointNotFoundException").

Please find attached the log files hyperlinked in the Report a Bug dialog.

        Cheers,

        Donnie

          Hi Donnie,

          Thank you for your response.

We will investigate what is the reason for the error when sending a bug report from the IDE. Looks like this is related to the issue when the IDE couldn't connect our server even with the additional proxy settings - sending feedback and reporting a bug options use a different approach when connecting to the web and they don't  automatically apply your settings from the .config file.

As for TWS crash, the reason for this is that the IDE couldn't generate properly a workflow tree data for your objects.

Can you please tell me if this crash is reproduced for all your objects in the Admin panel or for those which contain related Workflow Rules only?

Our developers will fix this issue in one of the nearest sprints.

          Thank you,

          Kate

            Hi Kate,

I tried opening up the tree data for about 10 SObjects that haven't got workflows and they all opened successfully in the Admin Panel, some of them had validation rules and page layouts (the page layouts didn't appear in the tree data though) so it does look like the crash is specific to SObjects with workflows. The Schema Explorer is working fine for the SObjects that failed to open in the Admin Panel.

            Cheers,

            Donnie

              Hi Donnie,

              Thank you for your response!

We will work on solving the issue for sObject with related Workflow Rules.

Page layouts data for your sObjects could be absent in the Admin panel if the related files are not included in your TWS project. Please add the related Layout files in the 'Project Metadata Components' wizard and pull them from Salesforce to your project.

              Best Regards,

              Kate
