After I update a content ZIP on the static resource successfully,

TWS always ask from me to pull from salesforce before a new update on this content ZIP .

      Hi Rubi,

Thank you for your bug report.

May I please ask you to tell me if there are any conflicts when you are pulling your static resources after the failed build process?

Does this error appear when you are updating any other files on Salesforce?

Our developers are going to investigate the issue you are faced with.

I'll contact you when we will have any information related to this.

      Thank you ,

      Kate

        Hi,

        1)  pull from salesforce with no conflicts.

        2)  build and update my ZIP content static resource successfully to salesforce

        3)  trying to update again this ZIP content again BOOM - TWS ask me to to pull my static resource even there is no conflict

        thank you

              Hi,

              Bumping into the same issue.

              1. Make changes to Static Resource
              2. Build Selection (Success)
              3. Make some more changes to Static Resource
              4. Build Selection (Fail - Prompted to Pull)
              5. Perform Pull (Changes are wiped)
              6. Redo changes to Static Resource
              7. Build Selection (Success)

Where can I obtain the fix posted above?

              Thanks,

              Dave

                Hi guys,

Thank you for your posts and for the details.

Our developers are working on this issue. We have found the reason for this, but the fix for this isn't released.

Currently, to continue your working process, you can disable the static resource files in your project using the next steps:
                • please click right on your project in the Solution Explorer and select the 'Project Metadata Components' item;
                • expand the 'Static Resources' metadata and disable the changed files.
After this, you can build your project to the servers.

If you need to update the static resource file later, I kindly ask you to open the 'Project Metadata Components' wizard again, select the disabled static resource files, click 'Apply' and force the pull process. The selected files will appear in your TWS project and you can modify and build it.

I should draw your attention that the first build for the static resource file will be succeeded, but the next build for this file will be failed again.

You can use this steps as a workaround for your work till the fix for the issue will be released in the next version of the IDE.

                Best Regards,
                Kate

Thanks for the response. Your suggestion allows me to side-step the issue but at the expense of being unable to regularly edit and upload static resources.

Do you know when the next release is scheduled?

This fitcher is one of the reason I choose to work with the TWS :)

Unfortunately it's a deal-breaker for us also. We are switching to eclipse until this is resolved.
