      Hi Rubi,

      Thank you for your question.

This functionality is already implemented inside The Welkin Suite.

You can create a new SOQL query using the next way:

      1. open the context menu of your project in the Solution Explorer,
      2. select Add -> New item...,
      3. select the Query.soql item and specify a name,
      4. click 'Add'.

Currently, you should create a SOQL query manually.

We are going to improve this functionality further.

Please let us know if this way to create a SOQl query is acceptable for you.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Hi Kate,

Thank for your quick reply this looks great you have done a great job well done.

I will wait for your functionality improvement.

If I had an auto complete for the object fields that will be great :)

        Thank you very much

It would also be nice to export the results from the query.

              Hi,

me too i'd like the idea to have the possibility to export results from the query in csv (or insert the export feature in the data loader).

I think it would be also nice if we have the possibility to modify the values the query returns to us and save changes.

              Thanks,

              Matteo

                Hi Matteo,

                Thank you for your post.

The feature request related to the export of SOQL query results to a csv file is present on our working plan. Our developers will implement this option in further versions of The Welkin Suite.

In addition, we will discuss your suggestion about the ability to modify results of a SOQL query. May I please clarify with you if you need to save these changes locally or send them to the server?

I'll keep you informed about the changes in the SOQL query editor.

                Regards,

                Kate

                  Hi Kate,

I need to save the changes on the server not only locally.

                  Thank you for your attention.

                    Hi Matteo,

Thank you for this additional information.

We will investigate the ways and abilities to implement your suggestion in The Welkin Suite.

Currently, there is the Data Loader functionality inside the IDE. More detailed information about this you can find in the Release Notes blog post related to the release of this  functionality

After the export option for SOQL query results will be implemented you will be able to use this tool for loading the changed SOQL results to your Org.

Right now you can use this for loading any other data.

                    Regards,

                    Kate

                      Hi guys,

I want to inform you that we have released the enhanced SOQL Executor. Now you can use the SOQL query builder, to get more detailed results, and copy or export them.

Our changes related to this functionality are implemented in Spire R8 and Spire R9 versions of The Welkin Suite IDE for Windows. Also, all of them are available for you in TWS for Mac.

We will continue to add new abilities to SOQL and other areas of The Welkin Suite.

Also, we will appreciate your feedback and new suggestions.

                      Regards,

                      Kate
