One of the challenges of having Welkin Suite installed is that our Windows computers are frequently prompted to have VS 2013 patched. Most recently, they required Update 5 to be applied, and the only way we found to do this was to download a 6gb ISO file, mount it, and then run the update from there. It would be great if Welkin Suite could either incorporate the patching of Visual Studio 2013 Shell and/or upgrade to VS 2015 Shell (I believe this is the last version Microsoft supported the Isolated Shell).

Thanks. The gist of it is that our IT department runs checks for missing patches to apps including Visual Studio, but when the patch tries to apply, it fails because VS is not installed.

Have you considered converting from the VS shell to a JetBrains-based IDE?

Given the rich feature set of these editors, their cross platform abilities, and last, but not least - their rich eco system with regards to addons, it should be a serious consideration for you guys.

There are already at least two Salesforce addons available - and after proper due dilligence aquire one of these and continue to expand it only makes a lot of sense both technical and businesswise.
