When developing the highly customized Salesforce projects, you will have to create both backend part and the web part. Mostly you will use Apex and VisualForce programming languages for this purposes, but it’s possible that you would like to have separate files somewhere in your Static Resources with HTML markup, which would be used in your web part. HTML is usually highly nested, so code readability is a must for the HTML editor/viewer. It is always best if such editor is built in the tool you are working with most of the time.

In The Welkin Suite IDE, we provide you with the feature-rich editor for HTML code, which will help you write your code with syntax highlighting, automated tags completion, code formatting, indenting, and outlining. With such a tool you won’t even notice that you’re switching between backend and web parts!

Sometimes in Salesforce development you may need to write Javascript code, for Static Resources, for instance. Whether you constantly work with Javascript, or write in this language occasionally, it is always more convenient to work with such a code in the editor that has specifically been tailored for the peculiarities of a certain programming language. That is why The Welkin Suite IDE provides a separate Javascript editor, which features the main possibilities you would look for in such a tool - Syntax Highlighting, Code Completion, Auto Indenting, and more.

While developing custom VisualForce pages in Salesforce, you will be adding images to the StaticResource in order to reference them on the pages. The image editor provides you with the basic options for editing image files inside The Welkin Suite IDE. This includes adding the basic shapes (rectangle, ellipse, rounded rectangle, line), as well as adding text to the images. In addition, our tool allows you to add advanced visual filters to the image, such as blur, darkness, brightness, black and white, edge detection, etc.

The Welkin Suite IDE provides you with the tools that you can use to zoom, rotate, drag, and select the areas with the same color on the image that is being edited. Also, you receive handy options for editing images with a fill, airbrush, erase tools, as well as for drawing a free form on the existing image pixels. The properties panel in this editor gives you the opportunity to set the color of your drawing tools to the ARGB format, and adjust the different properties of the selected drawing tool. This might be not the ultimate, but definitley an easier way for you to add changes to the images that you use in VisualForce pages on the go, without switching to another application.

Visualforce is an important part of any Salesforce development – you’ll rarely be satisfied with the standard-only pages and views, so you will have to develop your own, highly customized ones, which would quite often require very complex UI. Visualforce provides lots of built-in tags and features together with the standard HTML markup in conjunction with inline CSS and Javascript code.

That is why Visualforce editor in The Welkin Suite IDE is based on the standard HTML editor, which provides you with a multitude of handy features, such as auto-indenting (tabs or spaces on your choice), tags completion, code completion assistance for standard HTML tags, code outlining, and more.
