Built-in Copado Support

Enjoy the built-in Copado support in The Welkin Suite. Use this release management service to properly deploy your changes to an org, track changes and your progress right in the IDE.

Detect all your errors and warnings in your changed files right before you send them to your org. You can check code quality, performance, the maintainability of your Apex code, and much more without switching to any other applications. The Welkin Suite gives you an ability to use the full power of CodeScan analysis right in the IDE! You can check your code manually, or set up the auto checking before each build. Use the built-in templates of rules or create your own ones in just a minute — with The Welkin Suite you'll save tons of time when using this new incredible functionality!

Code Scan

Work with the Copado service directly in The Welkin Suite. You can use it for the most common and important tasks for your daily development work, such as using it for a task tracking system to track the progress of your work and to keep the team and stakeholders updated about the progress. In the Copado tasks panel, you can review, at a glance, all the user stories related to your project and all additional information about them. Track changes, compare versions, change statuses, commit the results of your work — all in one place!

Twitter Integration

Twitter Integration

Tweet about your code right from The Welkin Suite IDE without switching to the browser.

The Welkin Suite helps you to ensure that your code is reliable and clear, right before building any changes to an org. With the built-in PMD Apex Ruleset Configurator, you can create your own ruleset with all the necessary rules and their priorities, or you can use one of the templates that are based on the best development practices. Set different rules for different projects, avoid sending some buggy code to an org by using an option to cancel the build if any PMD issue appears, or just check any Apex file for errors manually — The Welkin Suite will guide you through all the operations.

Our tool allows you to reach out to the developer community without being distracted from coding. In case you are struggling with some part of the code and would like to discuss your issue with other Salesforce developers, or if you have come up with the offbeat solution to some problem and would like to share your findings with other people to help them get through the similar development cases, you can tweet about it in just a few clicks. All you have to do is select the necessary part of the code, right-click and then choose '#askforce about the code' option in the context menu. Then you will get a window with a screenshot of the code, and a field in which you can enter the text of your tweet, with the predefined hashtags #askforce and #askwelkin already added. Get a response in no time!

External Tools Support

External Tools Support

Enrich the spectrum of custom possibilities in The Welkin Suite IDE by add third-party tools to the menu.

Do you have a favorite development app that benefits your Salesforce development process when used along with our IDE? Would you like to avoid constantly switching between our tool and this app? If so, you are free to make it available from the Main Menu in The Welkin Suite IDE. Adding an external tool is quite a simple process, which only requires filling in a few fileds (Title, Command, Arguments and Initial Directory). You are also free to assign a custom hotkey to the tool you have added to call it immediately. By integrating your custom apps, you can not only save tons of time, but also pass the data about the project or the current file to the external tools as the arguments.
