UI Customization Options

Even though we have tried to make the UI of The Welkin Suite IDE comfortable for all developers, sometimes certain small aspects simply do not work for you - for instance, the colors are too bright and that distracts you, or some panel is located in the place where you'd rather have another panel. For this matter, we have added a range of customization options to our IDE, which allow you to tailor the UI to your personal preferences.

Personalize your working tool as you like.

The Syntax Highlighting possibilities in the Welkin Suite give you a lot of IDE color combinations. You may want to either adjust your favorites like dark or light editors or explore new ones depending on your preferences or working conditions.

Developers can change each lexical type’s (attributes, delimiters, keywords, operators, strings, numbers and so on) foreground and background for all supported languages – Apex, VisualForce, HTML, CSS, XML. This works even better with built-in Dark, Light and Blue themes which changes both The Welkin Suite appearance and Syntax Highlighting colors.

With such options you can spend just few minutes for the type of display that would look ideally for you.

The Welkin Suite offers you a lot of functional panels providing you with a great features and increasing productivity, but without proper management and positioning of this panels the usage of them could be not so efficient as you’d want. The Welkin Suite solves this problem and gives you various tools and options to help you position and organize them as You want. When you arrange windows, The Welkin Suite remembers the layout and persists it between sessions so that you do not have to configure it every time. You can show or hide tool windows automatically, dock them against the edges of the IDE and display any window on the other monitor. You always can reset windows layout to default to start building it from scratch if your needs have changed.

Changes Highlighting in the Code

Changes Highlighting in the Code

Keep track of all the changes you make in your code with the highlighting functionality in The Welkin Suite IDE.

When writing or editing code, you will constantly be making updates to it, be it minor changes or not. When you are working with multiple large files, locating the spots in which the code has recently been changed may take up some time. Thus, to allow you focus on more important tasks, The Welkin Suite IDE displays the changes you have made with the help of makers on margins and in the scrollbar across the lines that feature the updates. This way, you will see both the saved and unsaved changes (colored in green and yellow accordingly), so that you can easily navigate in your code.
