    Hi,

I am trying to run a specific jar file after retrieving the metadata from Salesforce. Can we do it? Please let me know.

    Thanks,

      Greetings,

Thank you for your post and for your question.

Currently, there is no implemented ability to run a specific jar file automatically directly from the IDE.

We will consider what we can do about this, however, we would greatly appreciate if you can share examples for use-cases for this option so that we could find the most useful way to realize this.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Thanks Kate for the reply.

We are currently using Bitbucket as our version control tool and when we push the commits to Bitbucket, it runs a pipeline and deploys all the code to different sandbox.

Scenario 1: Lets say i added a file in gitignore as "ABC" object. Now, i will retrieve all the Objects metadata. Then package.xml still has reference of "ABC". Now i will push the changes of package.xml to Bitbucket, then we are seeing an error while deploying that says ABC is referenced in Package, but i am not seeing that file.

Scenario 2: I wanted to remove all the list views from all the objects while pushing to Bitbucket, i am not able to remove them.

Scenario 3: I wanted to remove specified fields from an Object, i am not able to remove it.

Please let me know, if you have any solution for these issues.

        Thanks,

        Regards

          Hi Nikhil,

Thank you for your response and for the provided examples.

Unfortunately, I should say that running a jar file for these operations cannot be done automatically in the IDE, and you can do this only manually.

If you would have any other questions, please let us know - we'll be happy to assist with them.

          Regards,

          Kate
