At the moment The Welkin Suite provides a couple simple templates out-of-the box - for Batchable and Schedulable classes, so I guess that you might use as a starting point. Speaking of an ability to add your own templates or about adding new templates as a part of the IDE - we have this in our backlog now, however there's no timeline on when we might complete this functionality.

In case if we would be able to fit this feature into our roadmap for the next couple months or if we'd have more requests for such kind of functionality we will for sure reprioritize it and let you know about the timeline when this might be released.

Just wanted to bump this idea. Being able to have standard template that meet code prefrences would be really usefull. Alot of people have trigger, or other class types, architectures that would be really nice to have preset. Right now I do it via Code Snippets but it seems a silly work around.

We still don't have any detailed ETA on this functionality, however your additional input will help us prioritizing it or finding a technically simpler solution (comparing to what we are thinking about right now), that will allow us to deliver this feature earlier, while still covering your needs.

First of all, may I congratulate with this awesome tool for Salesforce development. Before this, I used (I think your direct competitor) Illuminated Cloud in combination with IntelliJ. I was very happy with that, but the declarative part of Welkin Suite was a realy nice feature I 've never seen in any other tool. That's the reason why I use now the Welkin Suite.

Some other features are already in Illuminated Cloud, which you don't have. This is 1 of these features that I'm missing in Welkin Suite. Some use cases are:

• a predefined header for classes, pages, trigger,... for copyright purposes and comments blocks
• predefined structures (like the tool already did very well for a class with a batchable interface). There are more usable interfaces that I use more than often
• change structures for existing templates (like the unit test class)

Hope this feature will be there very quickly. Keep up the good work to improve this great tool.

We really appreciate hearing such words about The Welkin Suite IDE and its functionality. 

We will be happy to work on the request that you have shared, however, I'm not sure when exactly we will have an ability to do this.

I've added all the details to our backlog and we will add it to our plans.

Also, you can tell us which exactly interfaces are interesting for you in a frame of templates and we will work on adding them.

 I believe it might be a good idea to focus a bit more on the basis; I applaude the wish to keep on implementing new functionality, but there are still some pretty big gaps in functionality that the users day-in day-out:

• Code formatting
• Intellisense in VF/lightning
• Templates
• Code formatting

I've just started the trial of TWS and woudl also love to see teh ability to have our own templates. I'm guessing we could use the snippets part, but custom templates would be great.

You can add your own templates to Code Snippets using the steps which are described here.

As for the custom templates for new files, we have this in our development backlog and we will work on this in the future. However, right now, I'm not able to inform you when this would be implemented.
