    Hi,

I think I am missing something in the Admin Panel. I have the below questions:

    1. When I double-click on an Object, for example, Account, then click on the Fields tab, I don't see all fields listed, but only a subset, like 9 or 10 fields. Please see screenshot 1, all the fields of the Account object are on the left side, but only 10 or so of these fields are displayed in the main pane! Please see photo 1.
    2. Another example, how can I only show 1 window when I click on the Object, instead of 2 (the default) - see screenshot 2 (default) and I want something like screenshot 3 to be the default one.
    3. When I click on a field to change its metadata, how can I close the right-side window that contains the details of the field (screenshot 4)?
    4. Why I can't access the Layouts? (screesnhot 5)
    5. Finally, how can I copy for example 100 fields from object A to object B in W=TWS? I have a task to move fields of an object to a totally new object, and I won't re-create all fields again. I guess there is a way to do so using the XML Editor in the Admin Panel in TWS?

    Thanks.

      Hi,

Thank you for your post and please sorry for the delay in our response.

I'll be happy to answer all your questions and provide with the necessary information.

Let's go steps by steps according to your questions:

      1. In the sObjects Fields Inspector, we show the fields which IDE could parse in a related xml file and get about them at least such information like Name and Type. This is why not all of the field can be present here, however, in the Admin panel you can see all fields since we get this information directly from your organization.
      2. Our developers are working on implementing this setting right now. So already in the next version of The Welkin Suite IDE, you will have an ability to collapse the code editor with an xml file by default for your objects.
      3. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will consider adding this option. Currently, you can move a border to make the right-side window smaller.
      4. May I please ask you to let me know if the Layout files are present in your TWS project? Since the Layouts sObject Inspector works with local data from your project, I kindly ask you to add Layouts to your project.
If the Layouts files are included in your project and you have no information about them when you open your sObject, I kindly ask you to send us a bug report with attached log files directly from the IDE - you can find this functionality in the menu Help -> Report a Bug, please specify your email and enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox.
      5. You can use the 'Clone fields' functionality which is available for you in the Fields editor. Please find more information about this feature here.
However, this would be required to select all of the necessary fields manually.

If you have any additional questions, please let me know - I'll be happy to answer them and provide you with all the necessary information.

      Have a nice weekend!

      Regards,

      Kate
