    Hi,

First of all thank you very much for providing and maintaining this free IDE.

I wanted to report a simple but very very annoying issue on the current version.

When I try to login into custom org which have Two-Factor Authentication enabled. I'm getting the below error Messages attached as Image :

    [attachment=81:error-msg-welkin.png]

    Just for knowledge:

    1. I'm using the same credentials while login into salesforce account, also having the latest security token. Also tried with IP white-list in Network Access.

    2. Every time I tried to connect to the Org, I'm able to see the record in Login history table with latest attempt with Status = Success.

    3. Also my profile have API enable permission.

Could you provide any small fix for this ASAP.

    Thanks & regards.

      Hi Nitesh,

Thank you for your feedback about TWS and for your bug report.

We are going to release the new version of the IDE today, and the improved way for the authentication is present in this version.

I kindly ask you to repeat your actions after the update, and please let us know if the issue is actual for you with the newly released version.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Hi Team,

Thanks to look into this issue.

I repeated the same steps but it started throwing 2 more additional errors -

        Problem reasons :
        - Problem with internet connection

        - Maintenance works at Salesforce

        - Invalid username/Password
        - Security token is not specified or incorrect while IP is not whitelisted

        (See attachement)

        Thank you,

        Nitesh

          Hi Nitesh,

          Thank you for you response.

We have already found the reason for the additional cases of the error. This issue will be fixed soon.

As for the failed login to your Org, this can be caused by the Two-Factor Authentication. TWS doesn't support it directly from the IDE.

The improvements that we made were related to the OAuth Authentication. You can use it during the creation of a new project. In this case, you will be directed to Salesforce for entering your credentials.

May I please ask you to let us know if the OAuth Authentication helps to solve your issue.

          Thank you,

          Kate
