HI Christian,
Thank you for your contacting us with this information.
May I please clarify with you if you opened one or several projects in your solution?
In addition, the hotfix 0.29.10 version of TWS is available for you.

Kate

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your comment.
Can you please tell me what version of the IDE did you use for creation this old project?
In addition, I kindly ask you to send us your Activity Log file. You can find this xml file in the next folder: %AppData%\Roaming\Microdoft\AppEnv\12.0 .
Is this actual for all your old projects or for this one only?
This will help us a lot in our investigation process.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Kate,
I can not reproduce or identified with certainty which version of the IDE projects were created. In doubt, it was the version 0.28.2
This problem occurs at all old projects.
ActivityLog.xml attached, but it seems to involve only old logs..
Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,
You're right. The Activity Log file contains not actual entries.
We have plans to change the logging process inside TWS to avoid this.
I kindly ask you to do the next (after the error when you open your old project): please open the Main Menu -> Help -> Report a Bug, and click on the 'Activity Log.xml' link.
(In general, the 'Report a Bug' functionality will send us you log file automatically, but right now this doesn't work correctly)
As a result, these actions will update your Activity Log file.
If it is possible, please send us this file one more time after it will be updated.
We appreciate a lot your collaboration.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your log file.
The reason for your issue is the duplicated file 'screen.css' inside the project.
Looks like it has appeared after the changes in the project structure that we made.
You can verify this if you open your project folder (by default, it is located in the Documents/The Welkin Suite) and find the several 'screen.css' files in one or different sub-folders. In addition, if you open your project file (for example, by Notepad) you will find this file several times also.
If this is possible, I kindly ask you to describe us the location of the repeated files. Since our developers are looking for the reason of this behaviour, your information will help us a lot.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Kate,
there is, physically, only one file present in the whole project folder.
This file is located in "Documents\The Welkin Suite\Projects\<projectname>\<projectname>\StaticResources\<foldername>\css\screen.css"
When I take a look into the the project file (*.sfproj) the screen.css appears twice.
What should I do now?

Chris

Hi Chris,
Thank you for this details.
The migration of the structure of your project to the new one was made incorrectly.
I should say that the corrupted projects couldn't be used further.
Please re-create a project.
Our developers are investigating this issue related to the incorrect migration, so may I please clarify with you several more questions:
If there are several files inside this zip-archive and the "resource-bundles" folder exists, have other files been migrated to this folder or stayed in the 'StaticResource' one?
Thank you a lot for your help in our investigation process.
We appreciate your collaboration.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Kate,
I help at all. No problem.
I'm sorry and currently not in the office.
The described problem occures also at another project at home. Perhaps we can clarify the open questions with this project to ensure a quick respone for your questions. Unfortunately I'm only back next week at the office.
Attached another ActivityLog.xml for research.
Regards,
Chris

Hi Kate,
there seems so be no "resource-bundles" folder inside my project folder and the screen.css is the only one in "staticResources\yv_assets\css\".
If something should not be understood simply asks again.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for this detail. This is important for our investigation process.
May I please clarify with you one more question:
you told me that the 'screen.css' entries appear twice inside you project file, so can you please describe these locations? Are they the same ones or have some differences?
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Kate,
it appears twice identically.
Following is an extract of *.sfproj:
<ItemGroup>
<StaticZipItem Include="StaticResources\xxx\css\screen.css">
<PhysicalRelativePath>StaticResources\xxx_partner\css\screen.css</PhysicalRelativePath>
<SubType>StaticResourceZipItem</SubType>
<StaticResource>xxx_partner</StaticResource>
<StaticResourcePath>StaticResources\xxx_partner\css\screen.css</StaticResourcePath>
</StaticZipItem>
</ItemGroup>
AND
<ItemGroup>
<StaticZipItem Include="StaticResources\xxx\css\screen.css">
<SubType>StaticResourceZipItem</SubType>
<PhysicalRelativePath>StaticResources\xxx_partner\css\screen.css</PhysicalRelativePath>
<StaticResource>xxx_partner</StaticResource>
<StaticResourcePath>StaticResources\xxx_partner\css\screen.css</StaticResourcePath>
</StaticZipItem>
</ItemGroup>

Hi again Chris,
Thank you for your answer.
The current state of the entries means that your project contains duplicated files. This project wasn't migrated to the new project structure.
I kindly ask you to delete the second entry about the static resource and save your project file.
After this, please open this project in the IDE again.
Please, let us know the result of these actions.
Thank you,
Kate

Added ActivityLog.xml, too.

HI Chris,
Thank you for your files.
The previous issue is solved.
The new one is related to the migration process of the project structure.
One of the files was locked and couldn't be migrated. Probably it was used by another program.
May I please clarify with you if you have a back-up of this project? For example, on the another machine.
I kindly ask you to save one more copy of it and repeat all these actions (editing the project file and opening your project). Please close all the programs that can work with TWS project's files.
Thank you for your collaboration.

Kate

I can't help anymore.
All I can say: I am sure that no application use this file at the time of opening the project because I opened the project after I started the pc.
Regards, Chris.
