Don't know what happened, but it is super slow. Anything you do generates insane wait times. Tested with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
Latest release 0.25.3.4 completely unusable

Correct, it's super slow on Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit, 8GB RAM). Application freezes on every single click.

Hi guys,
Thank you for your posts.
Our team has faced with the same issue, but in our case it happens very rarely.
We are going to investigate the reason and we will fix it as soon as possible.
If you have any additional information about the type of processes, which is the slowest one, or the actions, which cause such behaviour more than others, I kindly ask you to write us this.
Thank you,
Kate.

@Kate. It's not one specific thing. Even simply pressing the Ok button on the Help/About dialog has about a ~1 second lag. Everything lags.
Also, you mentioned that it's rare for you see this...I've installed Welkin on 2 separate boxes with different OSes - both of them exhibited these issues.

Confirm. Help/About takes up to 30 seconds to open for the first time and is taking ~1/2 sec all the following attempts to open this dialog - Windows 7 Enterprise (64bit, 8GB RAM)

Hi guys,
Our team made several changes in the 0.26.7 version of The Welkin Suite that can affect the performance of the IDE.
I kindly ask you to let us know if this issue appears again with the newly released version.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Oleksiy,
Thank you for your feedback about the performance of the IDE.
To help other users who may experience the issue related to the incorrect autoformatting, I've created a separate topic and have moved your post there.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and I would appreciate it greatly if we continued our discussion in the newly created topic. You can find it here.
Thank you,
Kate

Kate,
The new update sped things up for the most part. There are some parts that are slow. For instance, I run an anonymous apex script and it opens a new tab with the execution logs. Closing that tab freezes the IDE for a second or two.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
Our team continue the work on the performance of the IDE.
May I clarify with you if this issue is actual for a big file?
Have the outlining and highlighting data appeared completely in this anonymous apex script?
Thank you,
Kate

@Kate The file is basically a log file from anonymous apex execution - so yeah long. Like 7k lines. I disabled the code preview on the right. It's still slow.
It also locks up the IDE for 5-10 seconds if I try to scroll too fast. Clicking on SHow Only User Debug Messages caused a 30-45 second wait.

Hi,
Thank you for providing the details.
I've added this information to our investigation process.

Most likely, your issue is caused by the parsing process in this file. If this is correct, the issue is solved by the waiting time when the outlining and highlighting data are loaded inside the file completely.
Please, let us know if this applies to your case.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi,
While working on 3k lines of code the delay between pressing a key and the character is showing up in the editor windows increases. After 2-3 hours it takes 1-3 seconds for showing ten characters entered in the editor. After restarting it is fast again. Every other response (click on menu, icons) seems not affected.
(Windows 8.1, 6GB, 4 cores in VMWare)

Hi Thomas,
Thank you for this information.
Our team has been faced with this issue.
This case will be included to one of our next sprints.
Currently please change the ‘Reparsing time delay’ option. You can find this in the follow way: Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> Code Assistance. Please increase this setting to it’s maximum value - 3000 ms and try to continue working with the classes.
I kindly ask you to inform us if this workaround helps you to avoid this performance issue.
Thank you,
Kate

Thanks for the workaround Kate. In the meantime I updated to 26.13.4 and used the workaround but I'm still facing the problem. The only improvement seems that the delay not happens on every single key stroke but after every pause while typing.
For me it seems the delay increases depending on how long the program is active regardless if I'm working a lot or doing nearly nothing in the editor. It always happens with multiple tabs open, some with Apex classes other with VF pages.
