    Hi,

Having an issue pulling reports into the Welkin Suite. A coworker has the same issue.
Tried adding reports in an existing project by adding metadata components, clicking the checkbox, clicking subscribe, and then pulling from Salesforce. Reports not showing in the Solution Explorer panel.
Also tried creating a new project and including reports, same issue.

       Hi Derhyk,

Thank you for contacting us with the issue you are faced with.

I kindly ask you or your coworker to send us a bug report directly from the IDE. This option is available for you in the menu Help -> Report a Bug. Please check the 'Attach Log File' checkbox and specify an email which we can use to contact you.

Our developers worked on the similar issue and their changes were included to the Spire R12 version of the IDE. When we would have your log files, we will have an ability to understand if this is the same issue.

Also, I kindly ask you try to pull not all your reports from the Organization but just several of them, and please disable the 'Subscription' option for this metadata type for this pull.

Please let me know if report files will be added to your TWS in this case.

      Thank you,

      Kate

          Hi Kate,

I am the coworker - bug report is now submitted following the steps you outlined! I have included all details in the bug report of what I'm attempting to do and what the unsuccessful outcome has been on all attempts. Even if I try pulling only reports, or only a few reports, it still doesn't pull anything.

            Hi guys,

Thank you for the provided information and fo the bug report with the attached log file.

May I please clarify with you if all the projects where the issue is reproduced are related to the same Salesforce Organization or Sandboxes of the same Org?

While our developers are looking for a reason for the issue, I kindly ask you to the check if any process on your Organization can block reports files for downloading to your TWS projects. One of the possible ways to do this is to cancel deployment processes on the Org.

If this case is acceptable for you, you can do this using the steps below:

                 1. please open Developer Console for your Organization, in the 'Progress' tab in the bottom you will see the list of processes.

                 2. in the 'Progress' tab in the bottom you will see the list of processes;

                 3. please click 'Cancel All Deployments'; After this, you can download a production project to your solution.

                 4. after this, please pull your reports in The Welkin Suite again.

Please let me know if this helps to solve the issue related to adding reports metadata files to your TWs project. Also, we would greatly appreciate if you could share with us the list or types of the processes which were launch on the Org and blocked reports for downloading.

            Thank you for your collaboration.

            Regards,

            Kate

              Hi Kate,

As per your suggestions, I've tested in a sandbox which was previously created from the production org where these problems exist. In the sandbox, I was able to pull all of the reports with no problems.

In production, there don't appear to be any other deployment processes in progress.

As far as I can tell, my access between the two systems is the same, but if there's any specific details I should look for in the permissions, then let me know! I'll note that when selecting the components to include in the project in production, TWS does see all of the reports. It's only when I try to pull from Salesforce does nothing actually pull (the list of items to be pulled in from Salesforce is also blank, even though all the reports are selected to be included).

                Hi,

Thank you for your response greatly.

Our developers are working on the investigation the possible reasons for the issue when report files cannot be added to TWS project.

In addition, may I please clarify with you if this was reproduced for you before? Have the issue appeared after updating the IDE to The Welkin Suite Spire R12?

I will contact you when we will have any results for our investigation on this.

                Thank you,

                Kate

                  Thanks for the update Kate!

This was my first attempt ever at pulling reports in TWS, so i can't say if it was present in any earlier versions or not.

                    Hi,

I'm writing you to update you with the results of our investigation and ask for the addition help.

In general, at the beginning of the pulling process, The Welkin Suite sends the query to Salesforce to get the list of files for pulling. There can be some exceptions or errors returned from Salesforce when the IDE is waiting for the response or when the query will have the 'Done' status. We have investigated that these exceptions or errors are not included in TWS log file.

Currently, I kindly ask you to help us and use the additional file for extending TWS logging for this issue. I will send it to you via email. Also, I will provide you with the steps how to apply this file to The Welkin Suite IDE.

This additional information in the log file will help us to understand what can cause the issue.

In addition, may I please clarify with you if the issue is reproduced for the 'Reports' files only?

Thank you for your collaboration greatly,

                    Kate

                      Thanks for the update Kate!

Confirming that so far reports is the only part of the system experiencing this issue that I've noticed.
