    Hey guys,

I'm working in a javascript file (static resource) in Welkin, and also working with the corresponding Apex controller. During my Javascript dev I was getting frustrated with the code completion (I was typing 'str' and after hitting period it changed it to 'stringCleaner'). After changing my options to completely turn off code completion, it was still occurring in the javascript file. I checked to see if it was turned off in the Apex controller file and it was.

It looks like there just isn't a way to modify code completion/assistance behavior yet in Javascript, I don't see a menu for it in the options, the only thing under Code Assistance is "Apex". Seems to just be an oversight with the recent addition of Javascript completion, hopefully it's an easy addition.

    Thanks,

    - Tyler

      Hi Tyler,

      Thank you for your post.

We appreciate you describing the example of the incorrect Code Completion in the javascript file.

This will be great if you write us about other issues related to this functionality you have. Our team is currently working on the Javascript Code Completion, and we are fixing all known cases.

Adding the ability to specify settings for the Javascript Code Completion in the Options menu is one of our next steps also. It will be implemented in the next several weeks.

Thank you for your reports and suggestions.

      Regards,

      Kate

        Hey guys,

This issue still exists in the Welkin Suite and I was wondering if someone could provide a status update. When you last posted you mentioned that you would at least add a setting to turn off code completion in the next several weeks. It's been 3 months so I was wondering if this is still a priority or if it has fallen through the cracks.

        Thanks,

        - Tyler

          Hi Tyler,

          Thank you for your post.

We are working on the improving of the Code Assistance functionality in general. The issue related to the disabling of the Code completion in Javascript is included to this work and we couldn't release it separately.

Please, sorry for the delay for the solving this issue.

In a month we will release the next version of TWS. It will include the ability to turn off the Code completion in Javascript.

I\ll keep you updated about the next release of the IDE.

          Regards,

          Kate

            Hi Tyler,

I want to inform you that the newly released 0.29.10.4 version of The Welkin Suite contains the option for the Javascript Code Completion.

You can enable/disable it the following way: Main Menu -> Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> Code Assistance -> Javasrcipt.

Please, let us know if this works for you.

            Thank you,

            Kate
