    Hello all,

Maybe I did something wrong or I can't find it, but since the last few days everytime I open a VF Page the upper half of the screen is a preview of this page. How do I disable this? I don't want and need previews in Welkin Suite.

      Hi Frank,

Thank you for your question. Yes, we've added the Visualforce previewer to The Welkin Suite in the latest release.

You can drag the splitter between the editor and previewer to completely hide the previewer. At the same time the IDE will remember this as the default setting for this page, so you won't need to do this anymore, if you are not using the Visualforce previewer.

      Hope this helps.

      Best regards,

      Vladimir

        Hello Vladimir,

I already found this feature to hide the preview for the current page. But it seems tws doesn't remember it. Every new opened page still has the preview on the top half.

Ok, got it. I dragged it down to get rid of it. But I had to drag it up.

In our application, most VFP's are heavily dependent on database interactions with the associated apex controller.  When they are opened in the previewer they trigger a 'Sandbox: Developer script exception System.QueryException: List has no rows for assignment to SObject' and an email to me.  I can swipe away the previewer for a particular page but opening new ones triggers the same issue.   I'm sure it will be very useful for some, but I'd prefer a configuration option to disable the feature.

I haven't had time to verify whether the previewer still renders in the background even when hidden (which will still trigger the annoying exception and email)

              Hi Mike,

Thank you for a detailed description of the situation.

You can specify the additional parameters for the page using the 'Parameters' input in the top part - for example, to specify an ID of the record or other parameters, needed by the controller. This is, of course, if you'd like or need to see the previewer.

Once you hide it - it won't open for this page anymore, unless you return it back. So yes, you'll have to swipe it away for each page that you're working on, but only once.

Anyway, I understand the case and we'll try to add a 'default' configuration option in the general options for both VF and Lightning previewers.

              Thank you once more,

              Vladimir

Yes please, I opt for a disabled by default option too. I work in a lot of VF pages and I have to 'disable' it now for each page. Really annoying.

I'd like to +1 this - it is seriously slowing us down - every new page we start we have to wait for it to load up a preview of what we already know will be an error screen. We need a way to default all new pages to not show the preview.

BTW, I'm unable to post replies using latest Chrome on Mac OS X - it says Please verify you're a robot, but there's no way to do the verfication. Seems to work in Firefox.

Will this be fixed in today's update?

                        Hi Guys,

I believe that we'll postpone a release for tomorrow due to the update to the PMD 6.0.1 with a bugfix in it.

Yes, in this release we will include the additional configuration option to collapse the previewer by default.

                        Thank you,

                        Vladimir

Ok, the update has finally landed. Can you tell me where I can find the option to disable the preview by default? I can't find it somehow.

                            Hi Frank,

                            Thank you for your post.

Yes, we released Bloom R15 version of the IDE where you can disable the Visualforce previewer by default: please navigate to the menu Tools -> Options -> Projects -> Presentation.

Also, all the additional details about the updated TWS version you can find here.

I'll close the current topic as a solved, and you can contact us at any time with any other questions.

                            Regards,
