Hotkey - generate system.debug for selected variable

    I would love to be able to select a variable, press a key combination and have a system.debug statement inserted below.


    given : List<id> myid

    1. select myid
    2. press a key combo
    3. TWS inserts system.debug(' myid : ' + myid); on the next line


    Man, I'm getting lazy :)

        Hi guys,


        Thank you for your suggestion and for your posts.


        We will consider adding this option, however, right now I cannot tell you if we would work on this in the nearest future or any ETA for this implementation.

        Currently, we see an ability how to implement this in the context of a variable declaration, but adding an ability to use the option in expressions requires some additional investigations.

            Thank you for your question.

            Currently, we have no updates on this feature request. This is present in our backlog, however, we haven't included it in our nearest plans.


            I will let you know when we will start working to implement this option or when this already will be available for you in the IDE.
