Hi,
Could it be possible to select the metadata custom fields of objects. this will make it very usefull to create package xml file with only the components needed.

Hi Bart,
Thank you for sharing this idea to work with the custom objects and their fields.
Currently TWS works with objects and all their fields as single entity. So adding an ability to select separate fields to be downloaded makes sense and we will add this to our backlog.
In order for us to better understand desired outcome and provide better solution can you please share some use cases when this approach will be handy for you?
On a side note - as you may know TWS does not currently provide package.xml file as a part of the project, however we are working on this and are going to implement standard project organization (together with package.xml and meta.xml files) in the nearest future.

I have just installed Welkin Suite...and ya...it's AWESOME!!!
I was looking for the feature where we can select fields on an object to create a query.
It will be nice to have such feature. It saves time a lot to write a query.
Anyway, Welkin Suite is the best I've been using till now!!

The improvement related to the custom fields of objects is already present in our working plan.
I'm afraid currently I cannot tell you when this ability will be added inside the IDE.
I'll keep you updated when you can make your work more convenient and faster using fields of objects.
