I've added your suggestion to our Development Backlog. We are going to add support for all the Salesforce metadata types step by step.

In a frame of this, adding the customMetadata will be implemented also.

Currently, I cannot tell you when exactly this will be done, but this will be done for sure.

I will inform you when the customMetadat will be available for TWS projects.

I'm happy to inform you that our developers are working on this right now, and you will be able to use Custom metadata in your TWS project already in the next version of the IDE.
