    Dear TWS Team,

Could you add the feature to run only a test method (not debug unit test) when right clicking inside the scope of a test method ?

This would be useful as we already have run tests (which run all tests) and debug unit test. Adding this feature to run the unit test without debug will save a lot of time compared to select the class, then the method in the Run Test Menu.

    Thanks ;)

      Hi,

      Thank you dor your suggestion.

Currently, you have an ability to run the opened in the Code Editor test using the 'Run tests' option in the context menu. This is located right after 'Debug unit test'. This option forces the run of the current test with all its methods.

Additionally, you can find the test result icons at the left side of the editor near each your test method. If the test was run previously, the icon is green (passed) or red (failed). If the method wasn't run its icon is blue.
If the test method was run, you can use the context menu of this test result icon and select the necessary option: 'Execute test class' or 'Execute test method'. This option forces the rerun for the selected item.

I kindly ask you to inform me if these options are the same which you are looking for. Please let us know if some of them are absent for you.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Yes I agree with you.

But see the steps that you need to do to run only a test method (not all methods in a test class) without running the debugging. (Actually I want to see if my method passes). If this could be reduced by right-clicking inside the scope of the test method then run the test (without debugging), this would be great.

        Thanks

          Hi,

          Thank you for your response.

May I please clarify with you if you have used the 'Run Tests' option from the context menu of your test class? This option runs all your test methods from the opened test class. Looks like you need exactly this functionality.

The test result icons which are present in the left part of the Code Editor shows you if your method passes.

As a side note, you can use the 'Execute test class' option which is available for you by right click on the test result icon to run all the test methods from you test class.

If you have additional requirements to the existing functionality, please describe them in details. We will appreciate your help greatly.

          Thank you,

          Kate
