    Is there a way to turn off the annoyingly inconsistent Control-Click navigation that takes you to the definition half the time and selects the word clicked on the other half? I would like to ALWAYS have control-click select the entire word clicked on as in standard Visual Studio.

      Hi Vance,

      Thank you for your bug report and please sorry for the delay in our response.

      We will investigate a reason for the issue that you are faced with.

      At the same time, currently, I kindly ask you to check if the next workaround would work for you:

      1. please open Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard;
      2. in the search field for a command, specify 'Edit.gotodefinition' - as a result, you will see two commands with the same name;
      3. click on the 'Edit.GoToDefinition' (this one has an assigned shortcut for F12) and click 'Remove' for this assignment;
      4. after this, please click on the 'Edit.gotodefinition' and in the 'Press shortcut keys' field click 'F12' and then 'Assign';
      5. click 'Ok'.

      After these actions, please check if the issue would be reproduced and please let us know about a result.

      Thank you,

      Kate

        Sorry, I cleared out the F12 mapping from both of those and it still occasionally sends me to the definition on Ctrl-Click. I also tried setting one and not the other in both combinations.

          Hi Vance,

          Thank you for your response and for clarifying details.

          I understood what you are talking about and currently this setting (to disable the navigation by Ctrl+click) is absent in the IDE. I've added this to our development backlog and our developers will work on adding this option.

          If you would have any other questions, please let us know -we'll be happy to assist.

          Regards,

          Kate
