    Hi

Instead of using the old Windows Command line cmd.exe inside TWS I would like to have the option to use Windows PowerShell instead. Most other IDEs already support choosing the command line tool of one's choice. If this is already possible, please point me to the place where I can change this.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Joachim

      Hi Joachim,

You are right - using PowerShell is much more interesting, comparing to the regular cmd. We'll add this to the backlog and will consider implementing PS support together with the Command Line panel updates that we have for the future.

In the meantime I can suggest you the following option - you can use the 3rd-party extension for the Visual Studio called BuiltinCmd.

You can install it using our general guide about installing VS extension to TWS.

I've just checked and it works - the only minor issue is that to bring this panel you'll need to use the Ctrl+Shift+T hotkey somewhere outside of the editor (for example select any other panel, so focus won't be in the editor and press the Ctrl+Shift+T).

Once done - you can execute powershell in the command line using the "powershell" command.

      Hope this helps.

      Thank you,

      Vladimir

        Hi Vladimir

Thanks for the suggestion and for testing it but as I do not really need this functionality right away, your workaround represents too much hassle for me. I predict that I will need this functionality in the near future so please keep this on the roadmap.

        Thanks & Regards, Joachim
