Hi Rajesh,
Thank you for contacting us about this issue.
May I please ask you to reproduce the issue one more time and send us a bug report directly from the IDE - you can find the option for this in the menu Help -> Report a Bug, please enable the 'Attach Log File' checkbox and put your email. This way we will receive your TWS log files and our developers will have an ability to investigate the issue in details.
Also, after you would send a bug report, I kindly ask you to replace the following file: you can find the attached zip archive with the 'MonoDevelop.exe.config' file - please open this directory: ~/Applications/The Welkin Suite.app/Contents/Resources/lib/monodevelop/bin/, unzip the archive, and replace the file. The attached file contains some additional settings for a network connection that could help to solve the issue.
Then, please check if you have an ability to create a project related to your Salesforce org in the IDE.
If the issue would be reproduced, please send a bug report with the attached log files again.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Rajesh,
Thank you for providing us with your log files.
According to your logs, the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches. So looks like the reason for the issue could be related not to VPN settings.
This is why I kindly ask you to answer the nex questions:
1) Do yuo have any shaper-blocker (like Adblock or Ublock) or any other application that could influent on the network connection? If yes, what is this?
2) Is the FileVault enabled on your computer? You can check it when open your Launchpad -> System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> FileVault section.
Also, I kindly ask you to download TWS installer one more time and install the IDE again. After this, please check if the issue would be reproduced.
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Rajesh,
We have spent this time in an additional investigation, and here are the results of this:
according to your log files, the connection between the IDE and your organization is broken due to the Apple's inter-process communication system; in other words, the connection is aborted from the system's side, for example, since DNS settings don't work, there is no routing, etc.
One of the possible reasons for this can be related to the Mono framework or MonoDevelop shell that TWS uses.
Since we have updated Mono framework and MonoDevelop shell versions in the latest version of TWS for Mac, I kindly ask you to download this updated version of the IDE from the site and install it manually. Please do not use the auto-update from the IDE itself for this case. These updates contain changes that could affect the issue.
After this, please check if you would have an ability to create a project in the IDE.
If this won't help, can you please tell us the next:
1) Which type of VPN do you use? Is it IKEv2, PPTP, IPSec, or L2TP?
2) Do you have installed Parallels application on your computer?
3) Can you please let us know if you can create a TWS project on another computer?
This additional information will help us in looking for a further solution.
Thank you,
Kate
