Now, there are a lot of reports about DF. And I thought why should I stand out? So I also decided to write my own report about Dreamforce. However, most of the reports were written by visitors, and as I was staying at our booth almost the whole Dreamforce, I think that my vision will be quite unique and so I hope interesting as well. ))
I got my first impression, as usual, at the airport. And all the taxis have been changed again! It seems that taxis in San Francisco change their car brands at least once a year!
In general, I was a bit disappointed with the dates of Dreamforce this year. Because of this, we had to leave the pavilions in the dark! It was pretty inconvenient. Perhaps, we were tired more than usual! Therefore, the great news is that next year we will meet in September! And so we will be able to be walking through San Francisco in the daylight. Though, I admit it’s pretty beautiful at night too!
But let's get down to business. As usual, Dreamforce is not only fun but also very hard work. Tell you what, every day, having 8-10 hours of work at the booth is pretty exhausting. And that would have been quite unbearable if there was not the Super Wonderful Mega Healthy Audience! It was very, very interesting to communicate with every visitor!
And here is what I’ve also noticed. The level of the audience at Dreamforce has grown SIGNIFICANTLY! And we noticed this not only communicating at our booth. Just look closely at the sessions.There were more sessions this time that was devoted to experienced developers than there was before. And, guess what, they got a lot of attention! I’ve seen for myself the full-house at the session that was devoted to the features for debugging code in Salesforce!
Could you have imagined this three or four years ago? Of course not!
By the way, this session was pleasing with one more thing. I was surprised to find out that the name of the modules of our IDE, Apex Retrospective Debugger, was used as the name of the class of solutions for debugging the code based on log files! I must admit, it was very rewarding!
There are a lot more presentations with the nuances that should be reconsidered.
Well, in general, it was really really awesome! As usually, Dreamforce pre-defined our roadmap for the upcoming year! We will be very happy to meet next year with you and show off what we succeed to achieve in a year!
